Seventeen members of LRR took part in the first event of the Cornish Grand Prix road
running series – Storm Force 10 mile, organised by Carn Runners, Camborne, Cornwall.
Over 600 runners took to the streets on a cold and bright morning.
The event, like so many, was much missed in 2021 and so it was wonderful to see the race
return. Runners reported great organisation, fantastic marshals and amazing support along
the route from local residents.
Finishers received souvenir t-shirts and smart trophies were awarded for the overall and
category winners. Sadly, coronavirus restrictions meant that runners were denied the
delights of the infamous cake stall in the sports hall – much missed but hopefully back next
year.
LRR members took three prizes:
