Launceston Road Runners had a huge turn out at the Tavy 7 on Sunday 30th October, with 23 members running this popular, moorland route.
Although the rain held off for most of the race after a heavy shower just as the start gun sounded, there were very strong winds all the way for the runners to contend with.  The route follows a beautiful, if exposed, loop from Plaster Down on the western edge of Dartmoor and goes past Pew Tor and the pretty hamlet of Sampford Spiney on its 7 mile route.
The last mile back to the finish line was tough with a strong headwind and gentle incline.
LRR had some fantastic results, with first lady Benedicte Holtan Carter coming in at 50 minutes, 32 and first male Joe Thomson right at her side in 50 minutes 33. Benedicte took 3rd  in her age category.
